Greater Englewood Neighborhood Association

Good Morning all, wishing for everyone a wonderful and blessed day.  I personally am looking forward to our next GENA meeting on this upcoming Monday night on July 13,@7:00 p.m. at Cuba Hunter Park.

Speaking at out meeting will be JT Mahle, , Post 88 Commander, and  Sandi Kass, President of the Women's Auxiliary.  Have you ever wondered what the American Legion does for our community and our Military ?  This, my friends is a opportune time to learn.  We are blessed to have this fine organization so close in our community.  I am awed by these fine folks, and their contributions to all.

Also at our meeting will be our Police and Police reports, our City Councilwoman Ms. Lori Boyer, and of course our Association Committee reports.

This month and next month, we are asking our members to bring in School Supplies for our local Schools such as Spring Park Elementary, and Englewood Elementary.  The following is a suggested list of items that are desperately neeided.

Supplies Needed are:

Folders with 3 prongs and 2 side pockets.  Blue, yellow, red, and green.  Glue Sticks, Notebook paper-wide ruled, 5 tab write on dividers, Spiral bound notebooks-wide ruled, Composition notebooks, 3 ring binder(1 inch-with plastic sleeve, Pencils, Colored pencils , 24 count Crayons, Markers, Pencil top erasers, Scissors (rounded tip) Highlighters, colored line pens.

Any of these items will be most appreciated, by our Schools.  Remember these Children, these Schools all represent our future residents of Englewood and by supporting them, we are supporting our future and the future of Englewood.

In closing, looking forward to seeing you on July 13,at Cuba Hunter.  Jeanie Holler- VP -  GENA

My best to all.  Jeanie Holler-  Vice President

Good Morning to all our neighbors, residents and folks that are interested in our neighborhood and community.
After a lengthy time away from our website, we are again commencing to renew and revitalize our website for all.
We are optimistic and hopeful that you will enjoy, and look forward once again reading the information and dates regarding our meetings.

Currently, we have a gentleman by the name of Taghi Shoaei who has graciously led us throughout most of the year.
On behalf of Taghi, and our Board, we welcome you to our meetings, and hopefully this will lead you to wish to join with us in making a better community.

GENA Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each OTHER month at Cuba Hunter Park, 4380 Bedford Road.

Our next meeting, will be Monday, November 10th at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room.
Our Speaker for the evening is Mr. Ron Tittle, of the Department of Transportation. We will have the benefit of learning all about our
City Transportation.

November is the month for voting for our Board and Officers for the upcoming year.  I urge you to join with us.

In addition, we have our Police Officers in attendance and they will be giving a report of the activities in our zone.

So much to learn folks and will take only a short period of time. So plan on coming out and joining us.

Did You know, Community Involvement REDUCES CRIME & INCREASES PROPERTY VALUE?
